About Fabiola

My name is Fabiola Cardoso, and I am a certified postpartum doula with specialized training in lactation and breastfeeding support. Since 2020, I’ve had the honor of supporting families across the Bay Area as they navigate the tender, transformative days after welcoming a new baby.

My journey into birth and postpartum work began long before I ever heard the word doula. I’ve always had a natural love for caring for children — my very first job was as a babysitter. Years later, becoming a mother to two children deepened that passion and gave me a firsthand understanding of the joys and challenges new families face. When I helped my sister care for her newborns, something clicked. I realized how powerful it can be just to have someone present — someone who understands, supports, and uplifts you during those precious early days. That’s when I knew I was meant to do this work.

I work independently and offer compassionate, personalized care with a special focus on overnight support. Whether it’s feeding guidance, newborn care, or simply giving parents the space to rest, I’m there to make sure families feel safe, seen, and supported.

My philosophy is rooted in respect and empathy. I believe that every family is unique, and there’s no one “right” way to parent. My role is to walk alongside you — not to lead, not to judge — but to gently support your instincts, ease the stress, and help you settle into your new rhythm with confidence. My care is evidence-based, intuitive, and grounded in emotional support, so that you feel held in every sense of the word.

What I love most about being a doula is witnessing the quiet strength in parents — even when they don’t yet feel it themselves. I love being part of those small, powerful moments: a parent’s first peaceful night of sleep, a breakthrough in breastfeeding, a look of confidence that wasn’t there yesterday. These moments are why I do what I do.
